Hi, I’m Laura

Some friends and family call me Lau.

I’m a designer in training went digital marketer, currently working in UX. I started as a UX researcher, then became the team lead for researchers & designers in a UX agency.

Why so many different positions?

Well, because finding a career that balances both data and design is kind of new. And not that common.

Personally, I’m an odd mix of creativity and analytics. I like to come up with new ideas, but I also want to make sure they’re useful. I’m not a fan of novelty for novelty’s sake. Recently, UX design seems like the best fit for that.

Some of the people I’ve worked with say that I’m highly analytical (but that’s how I usually get ideas), hard-working and that I have a good sense of humor. One that comes in many shapes and colors.

I’m a sucker for a good story, whatever form that comes in – a movie, a song, book, a product, a TV show, or a cartoon (go Pixar!). Besides those, I’m pretty much into food, spending time with friends, the occasional sports and learning new things.

Professionally, I’ve dabbled in various areas of  UX, digital and product marketing with two-and-a-half startups, a B2B service company and an agency. For more details, check out my Linkedin profile.
